Joseph Rotblat and Checked Tablecloth











Here we have a picture of a young Joseph Rotblat giving a speech from a table with a checked tablecloth.

 Behind him is a chairman. 

Judging from Professor Rotblat's age, we believe this is the late 1950s or early 1960s.

Does anybody have any information on where or when this event took place?

    The labels of ''Chairmen' and 'Platform' suggests an association of some kind rather than Pugwash. I wonder whether it might have been the British Atomic Scientists Association.
