These delightful photographs were taken at the 38th Pugwash Conference on Science and World Affairs on Global Problems and Common Security, which met in Dagomys, USSR, from 29 August to 3 September 1988. Because of its very high level of hospitality and exceptional organization, The Memorable 38th was described by the participants as an outstanding Pugwash experience.

In these photographs, we were able to identify Joseph Rotblat, Patricia Lindop, B. T. Feld, Maciej Nalecz and Vitalii Goldanskii. In the first photograph, we think the second person from the right might be Maciej Nalecz's wife - are we right?

If you spot any familiar faces, please email us at pugwashphotoarchive@gmail.com or leave a comment beneath the post.

Thank you!
