Russian memories (part 3)

Dear all,

In this third photograph we identified: Rotblat, Holdren, Calogero (hidden next to Rotblat) and Kapitza (third person on the right side of the table).

We are able to ascertain that it was taken in Moscow in September 1990. However, we are unable to identify the nature of the event nor the three other individuals appearing in this photograph.

Do you have any information on this?

If you do, please drop us an email at pugwashphotoarchive@gmail.com (quoting Img 398) or leave a comment beneath the post.

Thank you!

Mysterious photograph

Dear all,

to help you get through the Christmas holidays we decided to post this tricky, yet interesting photograph. Indeed, we have very limited information about it; none of the individuals in the photograph were identified and the event remains unknown. Only the painting of Marx and several writings in Cyrillic alphabet are hinting our research towards the USSR and GDR. Additionally, a similar photograph with Rotblat appearing in it lets us believe the event took place in the 1970s.

Do you have information about the photograph ?

If you do, please leave a comment beneath the blog post or email us at pugwashphotoarchive@gmail.com, quoting 'pht 067'.

Thank you!
